Geographical distribution: endemic to the Dominican Republic and Tortuga, in the Caribbean
Habitat: open country with scattered trees and bushes, often near human settlements, also in open forests
Diet: small mammals and birds as well as reptiles, frogs and insects
Status: considered endangered by human civilisation
